CDC travel notice levels 1–4
Level 1 usual precautions, 2 enhanced precautions, 3 reconsider nonessential travel, 4 avoid nonessential travel.
- Level 1 — Practice usual precautions.
- Level 2 — Practice enhanced precautions.
- Level 3 — Reconsider nonessential travel.
- Level 4 — Avoid nonessential travel.
These are the CDC's own levels. Some notices cover one area (for example an Ebola outbreak in specific provinces); others are global and list many countries (for example Global Measles). OutbreakWatch shows the notice title, level and date, and links to the full CDC page.
